May at Nest was a month of giving, creativity, culture, and celebration. From acts of charity to hands-on workshops, a museum adventure, and a grand Eid celebration that brought the whole community together, there was no shortage of moments that made us proud to call Nest home. Here’s a recap of what made the month special.
Red Crescent Day – A Culture of Giving
In celebration of World Red Crescent Day, donation boxes from the Emirates Red Crescent were placed across student housing receptions. The initiative encouraged our Nesties to embrace a culture of giving, reminding us that even small acts of generosity can create a big impact in the lives of others.
Charm & Create Workshop
Nest Campus hosted the Charm & Create Workshop, a hands-on session where Nesties designed their own personalised accessories – from charm chains and painted shells to hair clips. The workshop offered a fun, expressive outlet for creativity, with every Nestie leaving with a one-of-a-kind keepsake made by their own hands.
Eid Al-Adha 2026 – Modern Carnival & Community BBQ
The month closed on a festive high with a vibrant, community-wide Eid Al-Adha celebration across Aljada, Nasma, and Masaar. This year’s theme – Modern Carnival & Community BBQ – brought together warm ambient lighting, communal feasts, and family-friendly fun in a truly joyful atmosphere.
International Tea Day – Korean Tea Culture (Da-do)
Nest Campus celebrated International Tea Day with a special workshop introducing the Korean traditional tea ceremony, Da-do. Nesties with a love for Korean culture gathered to learn the art, etiquette, and mindfulness behind this centuries-old tradition – proving that sometimes, the best connections are brewed over a warm cup of tea.
International Museum Day – Classic Cars Trip
To mark International Museum Day, Nesties headed out for a trip to the Sharjah Classic Cars Museum. The visit offered a chance to explore timeless automobiles, appreciate their design and history, and enjoy a refreshing new experience beyond the campus. A perfect blend of discovery and adventure!
